Connie Rebecca Barnette died peacefully on the evening of March 26, 2006 at Athens Regional Hospital.  Her mother and life companion, Rebecca Dawson (Becky) Barnette was at her bedside.

 

Connie had a multitude of family and friends who supported and loved her.   She made a huge impact on many folks who came in contact with her over her 64 years of life.   She could not talk or walk but her presence was felt strongly in many areas.

 

Connie was a Special and Unique person who was loved by many.   She will be missed by many.

 

Oconee Chapel, Lord & Stephens, Funeral Directors, will handle arrangements.   Services will be at Union Christian Church her lifetime church.  Interment will be in the square of her late father, Milton Barnette, who died December 26,1950, when Connie was 9.

 

Connie loved church, family, friends and many others.  Reunions, church socials, birthdays, Christmas and family “get-togethers” were very important to her.
