Oconee County BOC to have work session on powers of Chairman on May 6

The public can attend the Oconee County BOC work session on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 5:30 PM at the Veterans Park Community Center.   It will be interesting to see if members of the Board of Commissioners start exercising more of their authority.  

.

Studies, opinions and technical arguments notwithstanding, the bottom-line fact is that ‘MAJORITY RULES’.   The BOC needs to take back control of the Agenda, and the hiring and firing of Department Heads.

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners will hold a Work Session at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 and, if necessary, Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the Meeting Room at the Oconee County Veterans Park Community Center, to discuss and review the Oconee County Assessment performed by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
