8-13-09 House Health Care Plan is not good plan – Need to slow down

I am opposed to the enactment of the house bill that Pelosi wanted to “ram through”. AVOC . August 12, 2009 . House Health Care Plan is not good plan – Need to slow down . By Wendell Dawson, Editor, AVOC, Inc . Most of us know there are needs in American Health Care. However, most of us do not want a “mad rush” to enact a far-reaching and overly comprehensive health care bill. I have listened to the President, read articles and reviewed the House Bill.I am opposed to the enactment of the house bill that Pelosi wanted to “ram through”. . Cost is a critical factor. It defies logic to think we can add millions to the healthcare rolls and reduce Medicare & Medicaid costs. The only way that works is to take something away from others and redistribute health coverage. That is a socialistic approach as I understand socialism. It will result in rationing and allowing others (besides doctors) to make our health care decisions.I do not think the Government (See:IRS, Post Office, Medicare and Medicaid for examples of government control) will be any improvement over HMOs and insurance companies. . Never in my seven decades have I seen a President who thought he had a solution for all ills.This attitude demonstrates a narcissism that is scary in our President. I am skeptical about other actions of this administration- particularly the spending and take over of the automobile companies. . A reasonably intelligent citizen can read the bill, read various sources and make up their own mind. A citizen does not have to be “told” what to think or want.Many folks have read the bill and much information is available to the public.Most folks are unhappy with Obama’s takeover of health care. . I believe the Democrats have become intoxicated with power-too much power. They are over-reaching. We will see if most Americans are ready to slow this train down in the 2010 Elections for Congress. We must have more balance and responsible debate.Hopefully, we can examine closely what we are trying to do to a vital part of the lives of all of us. Health Care Links of Interest .
