Hopefully, the November 2010 elections will send a strong message and Obama’s momentum and influence can be minimized even more. For the sake of our nation and grandchildren, many of us hope so! While the networks, NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times and other media outlets were supportive of and have been less than aggressive with Barack Obama, his lack of experience and competence is coming through to most Americans. . Even these outlets online have many citizen comments indicating wide spread dissatisfaction and even fear of Barack Obama and his team. His policies are very left-wing despite his campaigning as a centrist and a post-partisan candidate. Obama’s lack of executive experience has been graphically demonstrated in his handling or mishandling of the Gulf Oil Crisis. Instead of real leadership, he still childishly tries to blame George W. Bush for all the nation’s ills and claims credit for all successes including the success in Iraq. . The Obama Media described his handling of the General McChrystal incident by replacing him with General Petraeus as brilliant. No mention of the fact he was very critical and condescending of Petraeus as a Senator about two years ago. In all the hoopla, the truthfulness of comments by General McChrystal, particularly staff persons, have been ignored. While I strongly support and defend civilian control of the military, I do feel that senior military persons know more of the facts than the rest of us. Sometimes, a very public resignation can act as a catalyst to change policy and shake things up. . I have come to believe that Obama, while he likes being ‘Mr. President’ and flying all over the world in Air Force One, really does not like or enjoy the mundane responsibilities of the Presidency. He is obsessed with Policy and changing and transforming the United States to a more socialist state. That frightens a lot of us. To some, there seems to be an element or movement to bring Hillary Clinton back into the picture as a challenger in 2012. I think by then, most citizens will be more than ready for a change.
