Ballot Info for Georgia 2010 Primary Runoffs and General Election

Well, many of the political signs are gone and TV and Radio political ads are giving us a break. Some primary results were somewhat surprising because of the margins of the vote – especially in Oconee County- SEE LINK TO OCONEE RESULTS BELOW.

AVOC congratulates the winners and commends all candidates for making the effort and sacrifice to run for public office. We need competition and good folks running.

On the state level, we have more voting to do in the runoff on August 10. In the Republican Runoff, we have the offices of Governor, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner and Public Service Commission. On the Democrat side, we have a runoff for the Secretary of State.
.
The Republican total voters exceeded the Democrat totals statewide and particularly in Oconee County. However, it is usually more competitive when it gets to two candidates for the General Election.

GOVERNOR: Republican Totals: 680,208
Democrat Totals: 395,007
