AVOC enthusiastically endorses Regina Quick in the House District 117 race. While only the northeasterly part of the county- along Clarke County boundary- is in the NEW District, it behooves ALL Oconee citizens to support Regina Quick by vocal and monetary means.

AVOC has written several articles about how Oconee was ‘messed over’ in redistricting. We have two key officials, Sheriff Scott Berry and Chairman Melvin Davis, who headed their respective state associations. Since they seemed impotent in keeping Oconee from being ‘messed over’, their positions were obviously only honorary and ceremonial with little real influence in the real world. We have an opportunity at the July 31, 2012, primary to vote against both of these fellows and seek some real leadership that will look out for our county and not just seek publicity.

Meanwhile, McKillip is a “Kingfish” in the making and needs to go. Regina Quick is a capable person who can represent the area and not herself.
.

Doug McKillip has run roughshod over Oconee County and the Athens-Clarke Officials in redistricting.

I have sent a political contribution to Regina Quick’s campaign. AVOC enthusiastically endorses Regina Quick in the House District 117 race.
